Yes. Extra caution is advised for patients who are pregnant or nursing, have suspected or diagnosed epilepsy, a tendency to hemorrhage, recent trauma or fracture, recent surgery, or altered sensation such as numbness or tingling in the treatment area.

Caution should be used after recent surgical procedures, especially if muscle contraction could interfere with healing in the treatment area. Your provider will determine whether treatment is appropriate.
